“I have the courage to be who I am and love myself out loud.”
Our academic theme will be to embrace “self-love” as the most effective way to be our own self ally.
Overview:
In Science of Mind, we often say that the word “God” is synonymous with love. Because God is all there is, love must be all there is. But in a world filled with war, violence, and division, it’s challenging to see that God, or love, resides behind the darkness. This month, we are being invited to lean into love and express love out loud. Let’s look for love in every place we go: in the people we interact with, the events of the world, and most of all, within ourselves. If we want to see more love in the world, we must be willing to live as an example of love in action.

Our Study Guide
Below you will find a Study Guide for this month. We encourage you to print it out and incorporate the lessons into your weekly spiritual practice. Or, if you are willing, we invite you to join our daily (Monday – Friday) gathering called: “Living Out Loud!” We meet via Zoom. You will find the link on our website’s home page. Drop-ins are welcome! You can listen in just like you’d listen to your favorite podcast. Simply leave your camera off. However, if you’d like to join the conversation, then turn your camera on and add your name. Once your camera is on and your name posted, the facilitator will be sure to include you in the conversation.
What is the Science of Mind?
The Science of Mind (SOM) is a faith, philosophy, and a way of living. Nearly 100 years ago, Dr. Ernest Holmes compiled a series of lectures and sermons into a publication known as The Science of Mind Magazine. We end each session with a reading from this publication. At ElderPride we acknowledge that there are many paths to one universal God (Spirit). We use the principles of SOM as a catalyst for our conversations. Together we will explore how our world got to be the way that it is and endeavor to get from where we are, to where we want to be. Come join the conversation!
